A struggling writer, played by Dakota Johnson, gets a job on a famous writer’s remote estate (played by Anne Hathaway). Verity, the famous writer, has been incapacitated due to severe health issues, so she brings her in as a ghostwriter for her remaining works. In the house, the ghostwriter finds an autobiographical manuscript with family secrets and takes up with Verity’s husband (Josh Hartnett) in this chilling thriller. (dir. Michael Showalter, U.S., 2026, 117 min.)
