Jane Street Art Center presents
Liquid States, a performance by The Cave Dogs
The Cave Dogs brings together visual artists, musicians, dancers and storytellers to create startlingly original performances, as fluid shadows and images dance imaginatively across the screen. Their latest production, Liquid States, consists of innovative, large-scale shadow projections cast onto a screen from sculptures, props, costuming and the human body, in concert with projected video imagery, spoken narrative and an original soundtrack. Liquid States explores water as substance, as a metaphorical allusion and as a subject of socio-political debate. (60m)
The Cave Dogs are committed to creating and sustaining community, and each of their performances is followed by a Q&A that allows the audience to learn about the process and the subject matter. Cave Dogs are Suzanne Stokes, Jim Fossett, Adam Mastropaolo, Dillon Paul, Ted Conway and Alchemy Mastropaolo. For more information visit http://cavedogs.org/
