Music At The Movies with Bar Scott

Sunday, September 26th
8:30 pm – one show only
(US / 2010 / Bar Scott)
“Music at the Movies” (at Upstate Films Woodstock, 132 Tinker St.) is pleased to present: BAR SCOTT
After spending the last six months doing ‘house concerts’ in private homes as far away as New Hampshire and Tennessee, this is singer/songwriter Bar Scott’s first public appearance in Woodstock since early spring.
She’s looking forward to this solo show at “Music at the Movies” as a way of continuing the feel of those recent concerts in comfortable surroundings.  Making music for small groups suits her, because all the pressure is gone and she’s able to just play her beautiful piano and guitar, soulfully and fully … and that, of course, is why we always come out to hear Bar Scott sing and play.  She will bring a relaxed vibe to the movie theater, so sit back and enjoy a voice that Jim Croce’s producer Tommy West described as “one of the best on earth”.

General Admission: $11 / Upstate Films Members: $10

Now married and settled just outside Woodstock, NY, they tour with a full band or as a duo and sometimes share the stage with their fiddling two-year-old son, Will. Previous albums by Mike + Ruthy include the critically acclaimed debut The Honeymoon Agenda and its follow-up, Waltz of the Chickadee.
