In his performance of a lifetime, Robert Pattinson plays the controversial and unhinged host of the series To Catch a Predator. Using early 2000s documentary techniques with an undercurrent of horror and some dark satire thrown in, the standard biopic is turned on its head, even earning a standing ovation at its festival premiere. Featuring explicit interactions between pedophiles and their victims, the psychological thriller dramatizes the moral outrage of the television program that lasted merely one season. (dir. Lance Oppenheim, U.S., 2026, 107 min.)
“It leaves its audience simultaneously appalled and thrilled, and thereby grubbily complicit.” —The Telegraph
