One of the most influential artists of the late 20th century, the Korean-born, German-educated and consummate New York artist Nam June Paik has been called the “George Washington of video art.” A central figure in the experimental arts and performance movement, he drew energy from and inspired Joseph Beuys, Philip Glass, Allen Ginsberg, Merce Cunningham and, most of all,John Cage, creating visionary TV-based and then video installations that prophesied the coming of the digital age and transmuting modern information systems into spiritually infused experiences. (U.S., 2023, 90m)

“Park did nothing less than invent an art form … Beautifully made, about a figure of such unique fascination, whose art is so perfectly showcased by the documentary format … essential.” –Variety
