Hitchcock: Master of Suspense
One century after he made his first short film, Alfred Hitchcock remains a singular figure in the history of storytelling. After 100 years, no filmmaker can summon the suspense, sense of dread and deep sense of psychological unease that Hitchcock did for decades. His films remain pinnacles of cinematic power; we’ll show seven of them in this series. Many will be preceded by our programming staff and experts on his work.
Upstate Films programs are made possible by Arts Mid Hudson and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
