A warm, imaginative, vivid, and bonkers love letter to dancing through grief. Haru and her husband loved to compete in Tokyo’s ballroom scene, but when sudden tragedy strikes, Haru falls into depression. Eventually, her friends convince her to dance again in this Sundance Directing Award-winning, cross-cultural nod to Strictly Ballroom and Dirty Dancing. (dir. Joseph Kuota Wladyka, U.S., 2026, 122 min.)

“Shifts from poignant emotion to comedy to surreal scenes that take us inside Haru’s fantasies just as gracefully as the dialogue shifts from Japanese to Spanish and English.” —The Hollywood Reporter
