Eddie Muntz is about to make it big. He’s just secured a massive arms deal selling to both the dictator and the rebels in an impoverished, war torn South American country. But when the deal falls through, Muntz has to use every trick in the book to make sure he gets it back. Friedkin crafts a delightfully crass satire about the international arms trade. Poorly received by critics at the time of its release, we believe it deserves a reconsideration, at least on the spectrum of “so bad it’s good.” (William Friedkin, United States, 1983, 99 min.)
