South Park’s Trey Parker’s first directorial work – when he was still a college student – is loosely based on the story of the only convicted cannibal in the frontier age, leading a group of miners from Utah to Colorado where they must navigate all the pitfalls in between. Fans of The Book of Mormon musical will find many early references that gave way to the Broadway show. Over-the-top, crass, and grisly – this curio found a perfect home with Troma and is beloved by many. (dir. Trey Parker, U.S., 1993, 96 min.)
“Ludicrous notes that even people old enough to see this movie without a guardian can appreciate.” –New York Times
