An intimate look at Patricia Highsmith (played by Helen Mirren), the famously private and cantankerous author of some of the best crime thrillers ever written*. A New York publisher (Alden Ehrenreich) makes the trek to a remote Swiss home to convince Highsmith to write one more book in her Tom Ripley series in this topsy-turvy cat-and-mouse murder mystery.
*Side note: Highsmith famously carried a handbag filled with 300 pet snails through customs, preferring the company of any creatures other than humans.
“An ode to Highsmith’s brilliance and a twisty ride that’s sure to leave audiences surprised.” —Vanity Fair
