Once Prof. Larry Gopnik’s (Michael Stuhlbarg) wife Judith (Sari Lennick) announces that she’s leaving him for one of his more pompous colleagues, the little fissures in his life shatter. His kids are rebelling, he’s being bribed and threatened by a student, and his n’er do well brother (Richard Kind) won’t get off his couch. Larry struggles to find equilibrium-hard to do when your beautiful neighbor insists on sunbathing in the nude just outside your window. By seeking the advice of three trusted rabbis, Larry hopes he can finally become a genuine mensch. |
